In the increasingly interconnected and globalized work environments of the 21st century, "diplomacy" is a professional skill needed in many different contexts and at many different levels. It is no longer the purview only of professional diplomats, who typically receive lengthy preparation in specialized training programs. People operating in diplomatic functions in other professional sectors need these same skills and competencies to successfully reach out to international partners, but often lack the time or opportunities to develop them effectively. Diplomatic skills are critical to enhancing work relationships and building improved communication with international government representatives and civil servants, business partners, customers, and clients. Two highly experienced professionals will provide a practical introduction to the fundamental skills of diplomacy and protocol and will equip course participants with information and advice that will be targeted to their needs as "ambassadors" of their organizations, whether they be in an academic, public sector, or private sector environment. Participants will gain a solid understanding of diplomatic protocol, which will improve their ability to cultivate successful intercultural relations and to facilitate effective communications with international partners and stakeholders while increasing their comfort and confidence in handling complex and challenging interactions in cross-cultural contexts.Register by Aug 15th to recieve the early bird rate:
